Last week I felt pulled to sign up for a new offering from a sweet soul and friend I'm inspired by on a regular basis these days—healer, teacher and awesome artist, Robin Hallett—called 21 Days of Manifesting. In terms of how I wish to grow in my life purpose, I've felt a tiny bit stuck as of late and when I asked myself, Self, what is that you most want to manifest right now? The two things that came to me were confidence and purposeful connection. Excited for the 21-days course to begin, but realizing the start of it was still a couple weeks away, I wanted to celebrate my intention by making something I could start wearing right away to get me thinking about these two things I really wanted more of in my life. Hence . . .manifestation earrings!
The first things I took into consideration were colors; what colors should I use to represent what I wanted to manifest? I decided on colors for love, communication, strength/power and success. Next all I needed was a strong form to build upon. I remembered some earrings that I created from a project offered in Margot Potter's awesome book, New Dimensions in Bead and Wire Jewelry that over the past couple of years have become a pair of favorites. I didn't want to recreate those, of course, but I returned to the basic inspiration to begin again. To build on something I felt confident would work made perfect sense here, literally and metaphorically. Below you can see the book and the original earrings I created.
As I said in the last post I made (has it really been a month already?), I think throw-back Thursday is a perfect opportunity to share about books that have inspired me in the past and can easily continue to inspire in the present. And this book is perfect for anyone who loves the idea of working with beads and wire together; so many really cool ideas are in here. (And if you're seriously curious about it, I highly encourage you to check it out now; it's at a pretty awesome price!)
Having the frame shape as a starting point, I was then able to start modifying things to suit my intention for the earrings. A circle rather than a square symbolizes the sacred circle of life and instead of the coated-wire fringe used previously, this time I decided to use short, beaded dangles to represent little antennae sending my wishes out into the universe.
I love wearing these and each time I put them on, I first hold them between my hands, close my eyes and remind myself of that of which I long for more. You, too, can instill great meaning into anything you create for yourself or another. It's powerful and frankly, a lot of fun. Beginning July 1, we'll see what twenty-one days adds to the mix!
Your art is so gorgeous, Tonia Jenny! It inspires me to want more beauty in my life. Thank you for sharing your beautiful process and intentions.

Love this Tonia Jenny! You inspire. Taking a moment to sit with your intention for confidence and purposeful connection ((totally borowing it for me as well)). The earrings (then and now) are stunning. And I'm honored to read about the course, and the love--thank you so!
